Math Tutoring

Building Confidence Through Real-World Math

At MakerMinds Academy, math is more than worksheets — it’s a way to solve real-life puzzles. Whether it’s planning a birthday party, budgeting allowance, or redesigning a room, we help students see math as a tool they can actually use.

Our tutoring supports students in Grades 4–9, balancing curriculum expectations with hands-on projects that build confidence, independence, and problem-solving skills.

Examples of Math in Action

Grades 4–6 — Building Problem-Solvers

  • Role-play a pizza shop: Slice pizzas into halves, quarters, or eighths, then use toy money to “buy” slices.
  • Double or halve a simple recipe, converting fractions to decimals.

  • Measure classroom or home objects—calculate area and perimeter, or explore symmetry in furniture and art.
